Kampung Baru, The New Golden Triangle?

News and rumours have it, that our very own Kampung Baru will undergo a new development plan. The new development plan comprises of high rise condominiums, offices, and even new shopping malls.

Land prices in Kg Baru are expected to soar as demand increases.

Kampung Baru, The New Golden Triangle, will it benefit the locals, or will this discriminate their rights?

Will we have more luxury malls like Pavilion, more high end apartments like the Embassy Views, or will we have just more discriminated people, forced to sell their lands?

At one perspective, this is a good thing, as most of the land owners are willing to develop their lands as this will actually boost the locals' economy and give Kg. Baru a whole new look. More tourists will come, and this will benefit Malaysia in the long run.

But, what will happen to the rest of the land owners who are not in favour of this new development?

I am sure, a mechanism will be created to solve these problems and help minimising the negative effects to the locals.

Judge it yourself, read these articles.
